Frequently Asked Questions

1. General Information

What does Price Group sell?

Price Group supplies foodservice packaging, disposable tableware, paper products, janitorial supplies, cleaning chemicals, warehouse supplies and other everyday business essentials.

We serve restaurants, cafés, bakeries, caterers, grocery stores, cleaning companies, offices, distributors and other commercial customers.

Do you sell to both businesses and individual customers?

Yes. Price Group serves businesses, wholesale customers, distributors and walk-in customers. Product availability, case quantities and pricing may vary by customer type.

Are your products sold by the case or by the pack?

Many commercial products are sold by the case, while selected products are available by the pack or individual unit. Check the product page for the package specification before ordering.

Where can I find the full Price Group product list?

You can browse products by category on our website or view the Full Price List page. If you cannot find a particular item, contact Price Group for assistance.

How can I contact Price Group?

For product questions, order changes or adding items to an existing order, contact:

When contacting us about an existing order, please provide your order or invoice number.

2. Ordering

How do I place an order?

You can place an order through the Price Group website or contact our customer service team for assistance. Products may be ordered by case, pack or unit depending on the item.

What happens after I submit an order?

After the order is received, it may be placed in reserved status while our team confirms inventory and quantities. The order confirmation may include:

  • Order number
  • Ordered items and quantities
  • Subtotal
  • Order total
  • Pickup or delivery information

Does an order confirmation mean every item is guaranteed?

Not necessarily. An order confirmation means we have received the order. Final availability and quantities may still require verification by our team.

Why can the final invoice be different from the original order?

Price Group operates as a Cash & Carry supplier. The final invoice is based on the actual quantities prepared, delivered or picked up. If an item is unavailable or the shipped quantity changes, the invoice may be adjusted accordingly.

Can I change an order after it has been submitted?

Contact Price Group as soon as possible at (905) 306-0215 and provide your order number. Changes are subject to order status, inventory availability and whether the order has already been prepared, invoiced or paid.

Can I add products to an existing order?

Yes, if the order has not been completed. If the original order has already been paid, additional products may need to be processed as a separate linked order and invoice.

What happens if the shipped quantity is lower than the ordered quantity?

If the order has not been paid, the final invoice should be updated according to the actual shipped quantity. If the order has already been paid, the difference may be handled through customer credit or a refund, depending on the arrangement with Price Group.

Can I cancel an order?

Contact Price Group immediately with the order number. Cancellation depends on whether the order has already been prepared, invoiced, dispatched or picked up.

3. Pricing and Payment

Are the prices on the website always current?

We try to maintain accurate prices, but prices are subject to change without notice. The final confirmed price appears on the applicable invoice.

Do your prices include GST or HST?

Applicable taxes are added to the order unless otherwise stated.

What does C.O.D. mean?

C.O.D. means payment is due when the order is delivered or picked up, according to the payment arrangement shown on the invoice.

What is the payment policy for pickup orders?

All prices are C.O.D. upon pick-up. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Is bulk or skid pricing available?

Yes. Discounted skid pricing may be available for qualifying large-quantity purchases. Contact Price Group with the product codes and required quantities for a bulk-price inquiry.

Do wholesale customers receive different pricing?

Wholesale or distributor pricing may be available based on purchase volume, account status and product category. Contact Price Group for account-specific pricing.

Why is the online price different from a previous invoice?

Prices can change due to supplier costs, quantity, packaging configuration, promotional pricing or customer-specific price levels. The current invoice should be used as the final pricing reference.

Can I pay when the driver arrives?

Payment availability depends on the order and the payment terms arranged with Price Group. Confirm the accepted payment method before delivery.

What happens if I paid for more items than were delivered?

Price Group may issue customer credit for future purchases or process the applicable refund after the quantity difference has been verified.

4. Pickup and Delivery

Can I pick up my order?

Yes. Pickup may be available for qualifying orders. Wait until the order is confirmed as ready before travelling to pick it up.

Can Price Group deliver my order?

Delivery availability depends on the delivery address, order size, product type and account arrangements. Enter the correct shipping information or contact Price Group to confirm delivery options. See our Delivery Information page for details.

Is delivery free?

Delivery fees and free-delivery eligibility depend on the order, products, weight, destination and applicable promotion. The checkout or confirmed invoice should show the applicable delivery charge.

When will my order be delivered?

Delivery time depends on stock availability, order processing and delivery routing. A requested delivery date is not necessarily a guaranteed delivery time.

Can I request a specific delivery time?

You may provide delivery instructions or preferred receiving hours. We will try to accommodate them, but exact delivery times may not be guaranteed.

Why can a courier’s estimated delivery date disappear?

An early delivery date is usually an estimate. A carrier may remove it when scans or routing information are uncertain. The most reliable estimate normally appears when the shipment reaches Out for Delivery status.

What should I do if my business has restricted receiving hours?

Add the receiving hours and access instructions to the order. Include information such as:

  • Opening hours
  • Loading entrance
  • Unit number
  • Contact person
  • Call-before-delivery request
  • Days when delivery is unavailable

5. Product Availability and Specifications

How do I know whether a product is in stock?

Online availability may change during order processing. Contact Price Group if you need confirmation for a large or time-sensitive order.

What information should I check before ordering?

Review:

  • Product code
  • Dimensions
  • Capacity
  • Material
  • Colour
  • Case quantity
  • Lid compatibility
  • Intended use

Commercial packaging products with a similar appearance may use different dimensions or lid systems.

Why is the product code important?

The product code identifies the exact size, material, package configuration or compatible accessory. Providing the product code helps us verify the correct item more quickly.

Can product appearance or packaging change?

Manufacturers may update packaging, labels or minor design details. The product specification and product code should be used as the primary reference.

Can I request a sample?

Sample availability depends on the product and supplier. Contact Price Group with the product code and intended application. A sample or sample fee may apply where offered.

6. Containers and Lids

Are container lids included?

It depends on the product. Some items are sold as container-and-lid combos, while others require lids to be purchased separately. Check the product title, description and package specification carefully.

How do I find the correct lid?

Use the compatibility information shown on the product page. Match the lid using:

  • Product code
  • Rim diameter
  • Container shape
  • Material
  • Manufacturer or product series

Do not select a lid based only on the listed capacity.

Will lids from another brand fit?

Not necessarily. Two containers with the same capacity may have different rim dimensions or locking systems. Use the recommended matching lid whenever possible.

Why does the container capacity not guarantee lid compatibility?

Capacity measures the volume inside the container. Lid compatibility depends on the external rim diameter, shape and locking profile.

What is the difference between a flat lid and a dome lid?

A flat lid provides a lower stacking profile. A dome lid offers additional space above the food for toppings, desserts or taller contents.

What is the difference between a lid with a hole and a lid without a hole?

A dome lid with a hole may be designed for straws, spoons or dessert service. A no-hole lid is better for products that need a fully covered top. Always check the lid description for its intended use.

7. Take-Out Food Containers

How should I choose a take-out container?

Consider:

  • Food type
  • Portion size
  • Hot or cold application
  • Leak resistance
  • Number of compartments
  • Microwave requirements
  • Lid visibility
  • Stackability
  • Delivery distance

What is the difference between one-compartment and three-compartment containers?

One-compartment containers are suitable for entrées, rice dishes and mixed meals. Three-compartment containers help separate entrées, sides and sauces during takeout and delivery.

Are MFPP containers microwave safe?

MFPP containers are generally selected for hot-food and microwave applications, but customers should follow the specifications listed for the individual product. The lid may have different temperature limitations from the base.

What is the difference between paper, plastic, foil and bagasse containers?

  • Paper: Good presentation and suitable for many takeaway foods.
  • Plastic: Offers product visibility and a wide range of shapes.
  • Aluminum foil: Suitable for baking, reheating and hot-food applications.
  • Bagasse: Fibre-based option commonly used for meals and takeout.
  • MFPP: Commonly used for hot food and microwave reheating.

Can hot food be placed in PET containers?

PET is commonly used for cold food and clear presentation. It is generally not the preferred material for very hot food or microwave use. Check the specific product specification before use.

Which containers are best for delivery?

Choose containers with secure closures, appropriate depth and sufficient leak resistance. Consider whether the food contains sauce, steam or oil and how long it will remain in transit.

8. Aluminum Foil Containers

Are foil containers suitable for ovens?

Many aluminum foil containers are used for baking, cooking and reheating. Temperature suitability can vary by lid and container design. Plastic dome lids and paperboard lids should not automatically be treated as oven safe.

Can aluminum containers be used in a microwave?

Microwave compatibility depends on the appliance and container design. Follow the microwave manufacturer’s instructions and the product guidance. When uncertain, transfer the food to a microwave-safe container.

What is the difference between regular foil and SmoothWall containers?

Regular foil containers use traditional formed aluminum construction. SmoothWall containers have smoother, more rigid walls and are often selected for premium presentation and takeout applications.

Do foil pans come with lids?

Some are sold as combos, while other foil pans and lids are sold separately. Check whether the product description says Combo, With Lid, or lists a matching lid code.

What is the difference between a paperboard lid and a clear dome lid?

Paperboard lids are generally designed for flat stacking and transport. Clear dome lids improve product visibility and provide extra internal height.

9. Paper Soup Containers

Which lid fits Price Group paper soup containers?

The correct lid depends on the rim diameter and product series. Several Price Group 12 oz, 16 oz, 24 oz and 32 oz soup containers use a common 115 mm lid, but compatibility must still be confirmed from the individual product listing.

Are soup-container lids sold separately?

Many soup-container lids are sold separately. Check the package specification and matching-lid information before ordering.

Can soup containers hold cold foods?

Yes. Paper soup containers are also commonly used for foods such as ice cream, frozen desserts, oatmeal, noodles and cold side dishes, depending on the product.

What is the difference between plastic and paper soup-container lids?

Plastic lids provide visibility and moisture resistance. Paper lids may be preferred when customers want a coordinated paper-container presentation.

10. Cups and Cup Lids

How do I choose the correct cup lid?

Match the exact rim diameter, such as 78 mm, 92 mm or 98 mm. Cup capacity alone does not determine lid compatibility.

Will one lid fit different cup sizes?

Sometimes. Cups with different capacities may share the same rim diameter and use a common lid series. Always check the stated compatibility.

What is the difference between flat, dome and strawless lids?

  • Flat lid: Low profile, often with a straw slot.
  • Dome lid: Extra room for toppings, whipped cream or desserts.
  • Strawless/sippy lid: Designed for drinking without a separate straw.

Are PET cups suitable for hot drinks?

PET cups are normally intended for cold drinks and desserts. Use paper hot cups or another heat-rated cup for hot beverages.

11. Pizza Boxes

What pizza-box sizes are available?

Common Price Group pizza-box sizes include 8", 10", 11", 12", 14", 15", 16" and 18". Availability depends on the product series.

How do I select the right pizza-box size?

Match the internal box dimensions to the finished pizza diameter. Allow enough clearance to prevent the crust from pressing against the box walls.

What is the difference between B-flute and E-flute pizza boxes?

  • B-flute: Thicker corrugated construction and commonly used for larger or heavier pizzas.
  • E-flute: Thinner profile with a smoother printing surface and compact stacking.

Can pizza boxes be custom printed?

Custom printing may be available depending on the required size, quantity, design and production lead time. Price Group works with different manufacturers to provide customized packaging options.

12. Bakery and Cake Boxes

How do I choose the correct cake-box size?

Measure the cake board—not only the cake—and choose a box with enough space for decorations and safe handling. Check:

  • Length and width
  • Box height
  • Cake-board thickness
  • Decoration height
  • Window or no-window design

Should the cake box be the same size as the cake?

No. The box should accommodate the cake board and allow sufficient clearance around the finished cake.

What is the difference between a regular cake box and a slab-cake box?

Regular cake boxes are usually designed for round or smaller square cakes. Slab-cake boxes are wider and designed for quarter-, half- or full-slab cakes.

Are cake boards included with cake boxes?

Usually not unless the listing specifically describes a combo. Cake boards and cake boxes are commonly sold separately.

Can cake boxes be custom printed?

Yes, custom-printed packaging may be available based on design, size, quantity and production requirements.

13. Paper Bags and Shopping Bags

Should I choose brown or white paper bags?

Brown kraft bags provide a natural, casual appearance and are commonly used by restaurants, bakeries and grocery businesses. White paper bags provide a cleaner, brighter presentation and may be preferred for boutiques, bakeries and branded retail packaging.

What is the difference between flat paper bags and handled paper bags?

Flat paper bags are often used for bakery products, snacks and smaller food items. Handled paper bags are designed for convenient carryout of takeout containers, retail products and larger purchases.

How do I choose the correct paper-bag size?

Measure the width, gusset and height of the products going inside. Allow room for containers, closures and comfortable carrying.

Can paper bags be custom printed?

Custom printing may be available for qualifying quantities. Contact Price Group with the bag size, required quantity, artwork and intended use.

14. Paper Towels and Dispensers

What types of commercial paper towels are available?

Common formats include:

  • Hardwound roll towels
  • Centre-pull towels
  • Singlefold towels
  • Multifold towels
  • C-fold towels
  • Kitchen roll towels
  • Foodservice towels

What is the difference between folded towels and roll towels?

Folded towels are dispensed one sheet at a time from compatible folded-towel dispensers. Roll towels offer a continuous supply and may be used with manual, lever, automatic or centre-pull dispensers.

How do I know which paper towel fits my dispenser?

Check:

  • Roll width
  • Roll diameter
  • Core diameter
  • Roll length
  • Fold type
  • Dispenser model
  • Manufacturer compatibility

Do not assume every roll from the same brand fits every dispenser.

What is a centre-pull towel?

A centre-pull towel is dispensed from the centre of the roll. It is commonly used in kitchens, workshops, healthcare settings and cleaning stations.

What is the difference between kraft and white paper towels?

Kraft towels have a natural brown appearance and are commonly selected for utility and value-focused applications. White towels offer a brighter appearance and may be preferred in customer-facing or hygiene-sensitive environments.

Are Everest Pro towels compatible with Everest Pro dispensers?

Compatibility depends on the towel format and dispenser model. Match the product code and dispenser specification before ordering. Browse the Everest Pro collection.

Are dispensers included with paper towels?

Dispensers and paper refills are generally sold separately unless the product listing specifically states otherwise.

15. Bathroom Tissue and Dispensers

What is the difference between standard bathroom tissue and jumbo-roll tissue?

Standard bathroom tissue uses smaller rolls and is suitable for lower- or moderate-traffic locations. Jumbo-roll tissue contains more tissue per roll and helps reduce replacement frequency in high-traffic commercial facilities.

What does “2 ply” mean?

Two-ply tissue is made with two layers of paper. It generally provides greater softness and absorbency than one-ply tissue.

What does “individually wrapped” mean?

Each roll is separately wrapped inside the case, helping protect the rolls during storage and handling.

How do I choose a commercial toilet-paper dispenser?

Consider:

  • Standard or jumbo roll
  • Single-roll or double-roll capacity
  • Roll diameter
  • Core size
  • Facility traffic
  • Refill frequency
  • Dispenser compatibility

What is the benefit of a dual-roll dispenser?

A dual-roll dispenser provides a backup roll, helping reduce the chance of running out between service checks.

16. Cascades, Sunset and Everest Pro

Does Price Group sell Cascades products?

Yes. Price Group carries commercial Cascades paper products and dispenser solutions, subject to product availability.

Does Price Group sell Sunset products?

Yes. Price Group carries Sunset paper-product lines, including SnowSoft and Everest Pro products.

What is Everest Pro?

Everest Pro is a Sunset commercial paper-product and dispenser line that includes bathroom tissue, folded towels, hardwound towels, centre-pull towels and compatible dispensing systems.

What types of Everest Pro products are available?

The range may include:

  • Bathroom tissue
  • Kraft singlefold towels
  • White hardwound roll towels
  • Kraft centre-pull towels
  • Roll-towel dispensers
  • Dual-roll bathroom-tissue dispensers

What is the difference between Cascades PRO and Everest Pro?

Both provide commercial paper and dispenser solutions. The best choice depends on towel format, dispenser compatibility, facility requirements, product availability and budget.

Can I mix Cascades, Sunset and Everest Pro refills and dispensers?

Only when the product dimensions and dispenser specifications are compatible. Brand names alone do not guarantee fit.

17. Commercial Cleaning Chemicals

What is the difference between manual dish detergent and automatic dishwasher detergent?

Manual dish detergent is designed for handwashing dishes, pots and pans. Automatic dishwasher detergent is formulated for commercial warewashing machines and should be used with the appropriate dispensing system. Do not substitute one for the other.

What products are normally used in a commercial dishwasher system?

A commercial warewashing system may use:

  • Automatic dishwasher detergent
  • Rinse aid
  • Sanitizer

Requirements depend on the machine type and the facility’s warewashing setup.

What does rinse aid do?

Rinse aid helps water drain from dishes and glassware more effectively, reducing water spots and improving drying.

Is automatic dishwasher detergent the same as sanitizer?

No. Detergent removes food soil and grease. Sanitizer is used during the sanitizing stage according to the warewashing system and operating requirements.

Can Washeze be used in an automatic dishwasher?

Washeze Manual Dish, Pot and Pan Detergent is intended for manual washing—not as a replacement for automatic dishwasher detergent.

Which Price Group products are automatic dish detergents?

Products specifically labelled Auto Dish Detergent or Heavy Duty Warewashing Detergent are intended for applicable commercial machine-dishwashing systems. Always check the product label and dispensing requirements.

Can cleaning chemicals be mixed?

No. Do not mix cleaning chemicals unless the manufacturer specifically instructs you to do so. Follow the product label, Safety Data Sheet and workplace procedures.

Where can I find chemical safety information?

Refer to the product label and applicable Safety Data Sheet. Commercial users should train employees on proper storage, dispensing and handling.

18. Custom Printing and Private Label

Does Price Group provide custom-printed packaging?

Yes. Custom printing may be available for boxes, bags and other packaging products. Availability depends on:

  • Product type
  • Dimensions
  • Artwork
  • Print colours
  • Required quantity
  • Manufacturing schedule

Can Price Group help design custom packaging?

Price Group can work with the customer and manufacturing partners to develop packaging based on the required size, design and application.

Is there a minimum quantity for custom printing?

Custom-manufacturing minimums vary by product, size and printing method. Contact Price Group for a project-specific quotation.

How long does custom packaging take?

Lead time depends on artwork approval, product specifications, production schedule and shipping method. A timeline should be confirmed before placing the order.

Can Price Group support private-label products?

Private-label support may be available for qualifying products and order quantities. Contact Price Group with the product category and estimated volume.

19. Returns and Product Issues

What is your return policy?

Most unused items in their original, unopened packaging can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of the delivery or pickup date, and the return or exchange is free. See our full Return Policy for eligibility, non-returnable items and refund timelines.

What should I do if my order is damaged, short or incorrect?

Contact Price Group as soon as possible — within 7 days of receiving your order — and provide:

  • Order or invoice number
  • Product code
  • Affected quantity
  • Description of the issue
  • Photos of the product and packaging, where applicable

Our team will review the order and advise on the next steps. We will replace the item, arrange a return, or issue a refund at no cost to you.

Can all products be returned?

Return eligibility depends on the product condition, product category and applicable sales terms. Final-sale, opened, special-order or custom products may not be eligible for return. For health and food-safety reasons, opened food, chemicals, sanitizers and personal-care items cannot be returned. Contact Price Group before returning any merchandise.

Is there a restocking fee?

Eligible unused items in their original, unopened packaging are returned or exchanged free of charge. Items that have been opened or are no longer in resalable condition may be subject to a restocking fee, at our discretion.

Who pays for return shipping?

For eligible unused items, Price Group covers the cost of the return or exchange. If you received a damaged, defective or incorrect item, we will make it right at no cost to you.

Can custom-printed products be returned?

Custom-made or custom-printed products are generally produced specifically for the customer and may not be returnable unless there is a confirmed manufacturing defect or order error.
